Join us for an evocative tour of Northern Sicily and taste its superb food and wine, explore its fascinating history and see its vibrant modern art, while experiencing the best of Sicilian hospitality. We will spend time in Cefalù, one of the most attractive villages in Sicily, visit the unspoilt Parco dei Nebrodi, have a full day in Messina, discover Tindari’s archaeological treasures and take a boat trip to the Aeolian island of Vulcano. 10.00 Travel from Palermo to Bagheria (short distance). Tour of Bagheria. We will visit Villa Palagonia, hear the real story behind ‘Alfredo’ in the making of Cinema Paradiso, and take in the magnificent neo-realist art of Renato Guttuso. Guttuso Museum, Bagheria
16.00. Travel to Agriturismo.
19.00 Arrive Agriturismo Santa Margherita
20.00. Dinner at Villa Santa Margherita
Sunday 3 October
8-10am: Breakfast.
Tour of Parco dei Nebrodi, the largest protected area in Sicily renowned for its biodiversity.
13.00 Lunch: Slow Food presidia produce
15.00 Visit to Tindari, including Greek/Roman theatre.
17.30 Return to Agriturismo Santa Margherita

Monday 4 October
8-10am. Breakfast.
All day tour of Messina, including Museo Regionale di Messina (MuMe) hosting notable paintings by Caravaggio, Antonello da Messina, and a talk on Shakespeare and Messina, where Much Ado About Nothing and A Winter’s Tale were set.
